What is Retro Bridge?

By connecting to Retro Bridge, users can deposit assets on a source chain to receive identical or wrapped representations on a target network, solving liquidity silos without introducing central counterparty risks.
Wrapping Mechanics
To bridge a token like BTC, ETH, or stablecoins, the protocol utilizes smart contract vaults. Assets are locked inside these vaults, triggers are finalized across the network, and equivalent wrapped tokens are created on target layers. This preserves utility and facilitates yield options inside DeFi.
Non-Custodial Architecture
Unlike centralized custodian solutions that require trust in a single entity, Retro Bridge uses smart contracts. Users retain mathematical ownership of their private keys and are guaranteed the ability to redeem their native Bitcoin or Ethereum assets at any point by initiating a burn transaction.
